Transport Network
Venice’s public transport network is operated by ACTV S.p.A., under Vela SpA (Venezia Unica). The system includes vaporetto (waterbus) lines covering the historic city, the lagoon islands, and the mainland areas of Mestre and Marghera, plus bus and tram routes on the mainland. The ConetPass Venice gives you unlimited access to all ACTV services on a single digital pass. The network runs from approximately 5:00 AM to midnight daily, with selected night lines operating after midnight.
Bus Network
Venice's mainland bus network is operated by ACTV and connects Mestre, Marghera, and the Venice causeway (Ponte della Libertà) to Piazzale Roma. Bus routes run from approximately 5:00 AM to midnight. Night services operate on key routes after midnight.
Key route: Bus No. 2 — Piazzale Cialdini (Mestre) → Piazzale Roma. Journey time: approximately 15–20 minutes. Runs frequently throughout the day.

Tram Network
Venice's tram service is operated by ACTV and connects Mestre to Piazzale Roma on the island.
T1 line: Mestre Centro → Piazzale Roma. Journey time: approximately 20 minutes. Modern service with frequent departures throughout the day. The same pass valid on vaporetto and bus is also valid on tram.

ConetPass Venice covers all ACTV urban services only. The following are not included:
Private water taxis: separate service, not operated by ACTV
Gondolas: private tourist service, not public transport
Alilaguna airport boat (water taxi to/from Marco Polo Airport): separate operator, not ACTV
Trenitalia and Italo trains (including trains from Venezia Santa Lucia or Venezia Mestre stations)
Private taxi and ride-hailing services (a separate €5 WeTaxi credit is included but is not unlimited transport)
If a service is not listed under “What’s Included” in your booking confirmation, assume it is not covered by the pass.
How do I activate my ConetPass Venice?
Your ConnectPass will sent by email after purchase. Please follow the instructions you will receive by email for activation.
How long is the ticket valid?
One-way (75 min): valid for 75 minutes from activation. Example: activated at 10:00 → expires at 11:15.
1-day: valid for 24 hours from activation. Example: activated Friday at 11:00 AM → expires Saturday at 11:00 AM.
2-day: valid for 48 hours from activation. Example: activated Monday at 5:00 PM → expires Wednesday at 5:00 PM.
3-day: valid for 72 hours from activation. Example: activated Monday at 5:00 PM → expires Thursday at 5:00 PM.
7-day: valid for 7 consecutive calendar days from activation. Example: activated Monday → expires Sunday at 23:59.
Can I use my airport shuttle ticket outside the validity period of my pass?
Yes. Your airport shuttle ticket is independent of your transport pass validity period. You can use it before, during, or after your pass’s active days.
Can I use the airport shuttle in either direction?
Yes. Your shuttle ticket is valid as a one-way journey in either direction: from Venice Marco Polo Airport to the city, or from the city to the airport. You decide which direction when you use it.
Where can I find information about the Venice Marco Polo Airport shuttle?
Venice is served by the ATVO Airport Express shuttle service operated by ATVO.
Service details: Bus name/operator: ATVO Airport Express (operated by ATVO)
Stop locations: At Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE): Main bus stops are at Exit D, second lane, on the left: stop no. 3 for Venice and stop no. 4 for Mestre.
At Treviso Airport (TSF): The bus stop is located outside the Arrivals area, on the outside of the terminal.

Frequency: Venice Marco Polo services generally run about every 30 minutes; Treviso Airport services run multiple times daily according to the published timetable.
Journey time: approximately 20 minutes between Venice Marco Polo Airport and Venice / Mestre, and approximately 55–70 minutes between Treviso Airport and Mestre / Venice, depending on the destination and traffic.

Which vaporetto stops are most useful for tourists?
Piazzale Roma: main land-side transport hub; connection point for buses, trams, and airport shuttle. Starting point for Lines 1, 2, and 3.
Ferrovia (Santa Lucia): Venice Santa Lucia train station. Served by Lines 1 and 2.
Rialto: access to the Rialto Bridge and market area. Served by Lines 1 and 2.
San Marco (Vallaresso / San Zaccaria): St Mark’s Square, Doge’s Palace, and the waterfront. Served by Lines 1 and 2.
Accademia: Gallerie dell’Accademia museum and the Accademia Bridge area. Served by Line 1.
Fondamente Nove: main departure point for lagoon islands — Murano (Lines 3, 4.1, 4.2) and Burano (Line 12).
Can I reach Murano and Burano with ConetPass Venice?
Yes. All vaporetto lines to Murano and Burano are operated by ACTV and are included in the ConetPass Venice day passes.
Murano: Line 3 from Piazzale Roma (approximately 20 minutes) or Lines 4.1/4.2 from Fondamente Nove (approximately 30 minutes).
Burano: Line 12 from Fondamente Nove (approximately 40–45 minutes).
Note: the one-way 75-minute ticket is not sufficient to reach Burano and return — a day pass is required.
What are the vaporetto operating hours?
Vaporettos operate from approximately 5:00 AM to midnight daily. Selected night lines (N lines) operate after midnight on key routes. Service frequency on main lines (Line 1 and Line 2) is approximately every 10–20 minutes during daytime hours, with reduced frequency in the early morning and late evening.
How do I get and use the Uber bike credit included with ConetPass Venice?
Your ConetPass Venice includes an Uber-Lime promo code. To use it, follow the instructions in your confirmation email.
Are there discounts for children on ConetPass Venice?
At this time, ConetPass does not offer promotional discounts for children, seniors, groups, or families. All customers pay the same price. However, young children can travel free on Venice public transport under certain age conditions (see next FAQ).
What is the age limit for children to travel free on Venice public transport?
Children aged 5 and under travel free of charge on the Venice integrated public transport network (ACTV vaporetti, buses, and trams) when accompanied by a paying adult.
For children aged 6 and over: a separate ticket must be purchased.
Note: free travel policies for children are standard for all tickets, including those purchased through ConetPass.
