For most visitors, the U-Bahn and S-Bahn are the fastest ways to move across the city, while trams are especially useful in central Munich and along sightseeing routes. Metro Lines
U1 — Munich’s U1 runs between the northern and southern parts of the city and shares parts of its route with other underground lines through central interchange stations.
U2 — The U2 connects Feldmoching in the north with Messestadt Ost in the east, passing through key central stations such as Hauptbahnhof and Sendlinger Tor.

Munich has a large and well-developed bus network operated by MVG. For most visitors, buses are especially useful for local trips between metro and tram corridors and for reaching outer districts. When does my ConetPass Munich ticket validity start?
Your ConetPass Munich ticket becomes valid from the moment of download. The tickets are valid from first use for the selected duration, except for the 3-day and 5-day cards, which are valid for 3 and 5 calendar days.
The 1-day ticket is valid for 24 hours from download. For example: if first used on Friday at 11:00 a.m., it will expire on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
The 2-day ticket is valid for 48 hours from download. For example: if first used on Monday at 5:00 p.m., it will expire on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
The 3-day ticket is valid for 3 consecutive calendar days from download. For example: if first used on Monday, it remains valid until Wednesday at 11:59 p.m.
The 5-day ticket is valid for 5 consecutive calendar days from download. For example: if first used on Monday, it remains valid until Friday at 11:59 p.m.
Can I use my airport shuttle ticket outside the validity period of my pass?
Yes. Your airport shuttle ticket can be used independent of your public transport card’s validity period. The airport shuttle is separate from your main transport pass, so you can use it before, during, or after your card’s active days.
Can I use the airport shuttle ticket in either direction?
Yes. If your ConetPass Munich package includes the airport shuttle, the Lufthansa Express Bus ticket can be used in either direction: from Munich Airport to the city or from the city to Munich Airport.

At this time, ConetPass does not offer promotional discounts for children, seniors, groups, or families. All customers pay the same price. However, young children can travel free on Munich public transport under certain age conditions (see next FAQ).

Children aged 5 and under travel free of charge on Munich public transport and do not need a ticket.
For children aged 6 and over: a separate ticket must be purchased.
