ConetPass, the digital travel pass managed by Conet, operates also in Istanbul, where it gives access to the city’s public transport network through a fully digital solution. The pass is presented as an all-in-one mobility product for visitors who want to move around Istanbul easily with one booking.

The pass gives access to the main public transport services:

• Metro
• Bus
• Tram

It is available in digital format, with options including a two-trip ticket, 1-day, 3-day, and 6-day passes. 100% digital, no physical pickup required.

ConetPass Istanbul includes access to the main public transport services in Istanbul. Depending on the ticket or package selected, this can include:

• Metro
• Bus
• Tram
• City Train

ConetPass Istanbul does not cover every public transport service by default. The exact inclusions depend on the specific ticket or package you buy.

The following are not included unless your booking confirmation explicitly says otherwise:

• Transport services outside the network included in your selected package
• Long-distance and non-urban rail services
• Private taxi and ride-hailing services

If a service is not listed under “What’s Included” in your booking confirmation, you should assume it is not covered by the pass.

Your ConnectPass will be a 100% digital ticket sent by email after purchase. Please follow the instructions you will receive by email for activation.

Your ConetPass Istanbul validity depends on the ticket type. In practice, the ticket becomes valid from the moment it is activated, so you should only activate it when you are ready to travel.

• The 1-day ticket includes up to 10 rides within 1 day
• The 2-day ticket includes up to 20 rides within 2 days
• The 3-day ticket includes up to 30 rides within 3 days
• The 6-day ticket includes up to 60 rides within 6 days

Istanbul Airport (IST, European side):

• M11 Metro Line connects the airport to Kağıthane (with transfer to M2).

• Taxi: 40–60 minutes to the city center, depending on traffic.

Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW, Asian side):

• M4 Metro Line directly connects Kadıköy to SAW.

• Taxi: 45–75 minutes to the city center.

Key stations:

• Yenikapı: One of Istanbul’s main transport hubs, connecting multiple metro lines as well as the Marmaray train. It provides easy access between the European and Asian sides and links to other major transport services.
• Sultanahmet: The main stop for exploring Istanbul’s historic centre, with direct access to landmarks such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Grand Bazaar.
• Taksim: A central hub for modern Istanbul, known for its lively atmosphere, shopping, restaurants, and as the starting point of Istiklal Street.

Each ConetPass includes a “Special Promotions” section with a unique promocode.
Use this code when booking directly on tour operators’ websites to receive discounts up to 25% — the exact percentage varies by tour operator.
Find your promocode in the email titled “Your Pass is Ready” sent after your booking confirmation.

At this time, ConetPass does not offer promotional discounts for children, groups, or families. All customers pay the same price.

However, young children can travel free on Istanbul public transport under certain age conditions (see next FAQ).

Children aged 6 and under can travel free of charge on Istanbul public transport.

Istanbul’s metro network is made up of multiple lines that connect the European and Asian sides of the city, serving key residential areas, business districts, and major transport hubs.

Metro operating hours:

• Monday–Sunday: approximately 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM
  (extended night service is available on some lines during weekends and special periods)

Main metro lines:

• M1 Line (M1A / M1B): One of the oldest and most important lines, connecting Yenikapı with the western parts of the city. It splits into two branches: one toward the former Atatürk Airport and one toward Kirazlı, serving dense residential districts
• M2 Line: A key north–south corridor on the European side, linking Yenikapı and central areas like Taksim and Şişhane with major business districts such as Levent and terminating at Hacıosman.
• M3 Line: Connects Kirazlı with Başakşehir and Kayaşehir, mainly serving growing residential areas in the northwest of the city.
• M4 Line: Located on the Asian side, this line connects Kadıköy with Sabiha Gökçen Airport, making it especially important for airport access and daily commuting.
• M5 Line: A driverless metro line on the Asian side, linking Üsküdar with Çekmeköy and providing fast connections to Marmaray and ferry services.

Service frequency:

Peak hours (approximately 7:00–10:00 AM / 4:00–8:00 PM): every 3–6 minutes on main lines
Midday: every 5–8 minutes
Evening: every 8–12 minutes
Early morning and late evening: reduced frequency

Trams:

Operate daily from approximately 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM
Frequent service during daytime hours (every 3–7 minutes on main lines)
Serve historic and central areas of Istanbul, especially along the T1 line

The tram network is particularly useful for visitors, as it connects key landmarks and major stops in areas like Sultanahmet, Eminönü, and Kabataş.

Buses:

Operate daily from early morning (around 6:00 AM) until late evening
Extensive network covering both the European and Asian sides of the city
Connect residential districts, business areas, ferry terminals, and transport hubs
Night buses are available on selected routes, maintaining service after metro hours on main corridors
