ConetPass Amsterdam is built around Amsterdam’s main urban public transport network and the product highlights unlimited access to metro, tram, bus, and ferry. The following are not included, unless your booking confirmation explicitly says otherwise:

• Public transport operated by other carriers
• Regional, intercity, and other non-GVB rail services not specifically included in your package
• Transport services outside the included Amsterdam urban network
• Private taxi and ride-hailing services

If a service is not listed under “What’s Included” in your booking confirmation, it is not covered by the pass.

Yes. Airport transfer is included in all ConetPass Amsterdam packages.

ConetPass Amsterdam : includes a one-way airport transfer between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and the city, in addition to unlimited urban public transport (metro, tram, bus, and ferry).

Your ConnectPass will be a 100% digital ticket sent by email after purchase. Please follow the instructions you will receive by email for activation.

Your ConetPass Amsterdam ticket becomes valid the first time you scan the QR code and check in on GVB public transport.

• 1-day ticket: Valid for one calendar day (until midnight on the day of activation).
• 2-day ticket: Valid for two calendar days. Example: If first used on Monday at 5:00 PM, it remains valid until Tuesday at 11:59 PM.
• 3-day ticket: Valid for three consecutive calendar days from the time of activation. Example: If first used on Monday at 5:00 PM, it remains valid until Wednesday at 11:59
  PM.
• 4-day ticket: Valid for four consecutive calendar days from the time of activation. Example: If first used on Monday at 5:00 PM, it remains valid until Thursday at 11:59 PM.
• 5-day ticket: Valid for five consecutive calendar days from the time of activation. Example: If first used on Monday at 5:00 PM, it remains valid until Friday at 11:59 PM.
• 7-day ticket: Valid for seven consecutive calendar days from the time of activation. Example: If first used on Monday at 5:00 PM, it remains valid until Sunday at 11:59 PM.

Yes. Your airport shuttle ticket is independent of your public transport card’s validity period. The airport shuttle is separate from your main transport pass, so you can use it before, during, or after your card’s active days.

Yes. Your Amsterdam Airport Express ticket can be used in either direction: from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol to the city centre or from the city centre to Schiphol Airport. You choose the direction when you use it. The service operates on line 397 during the day and line N97 at night.

If your card includes the airport shuttle, the transfer is provided by Amsterdam Airport Express, operated by Connexxion. The service runs on bus 397 during the day and N97 at night, connecting Amsterdam Schiphol Airport with the city centre.

Main departure points:

• At the airport: Schiphol Plaza, bus stop B17, just outside the main arrivals area.
• In the city: the main central stops are Museumplein, Rijksmuseum, and Leidseplein.

Timetable:

• Bus 397 runs during the day and departs approximately every 10 minutes.
• Bus N97 is the night service and runs once per hour.

Typical route stops:
Schiphol Airport → Museumplein → Rijksmuseum → Leidseplein, with onward service toward Amsterdam Elandsgracht on line 397. For live departure times and the full list of stops, check the official Connexxion timetable for 397 or N97.

Key stations:

• Amsterdam Centraal: Main hub for metro, regional trains, and international travel (including Schiphol Airport connections)
• Nieuwmarkt/Waterlooplein: Close to the Jewish Quarter and historic city center
• Amstel Station: Access to the Amstel district with direct trains to Utrecht and Arnhem

Note: Major museums (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum) are not directly served by metro but are well-connected via tram.

At this time, ConetPass does not offer promotional discounts for children, seniors, groups, or families. All customers pay the same price.
However, young children can travel free on Amsterdam public transport under certain age conditions (see next FAQ).

Children aged 4 and under travel free of charge on all Amsterdam public transport (metro, trams, and buses) when accompanied by a paying adult.

For children aged 5 and over: a separate ticket must be purchased.

Trams operate from approximately 6:00 AM to midnight, with slightly later service on weekends. They run at high frequency throughout the day. Trams are the most commonly used public transport in Amsterdam’s city center.

Daytime buses: Same operating hours as trams (6:00 AM to midnight). Buses serve wider areas, including suburban regions.

Night buses (GVB):

• Lines N85 and N87 operate every night
• Lines N81–N84, N88–N89, N91, N93 operate Friday and Saturday nights only
• Line N86 is an express night bus operating on weekends

The Amsterdam Metro (managed by GVB) operates daily from 6:00 AM to 12:30 AM (next day), with trains departing approximately every 10 minutes.

Line 50 (Yellow): Isolatorweg ↔ Gein
Line 51 (Purple): Amsterdam Centraal ↔ Isolatorweg
Line 53 (Green): Centraal ↔ Gaasperplas
Line 54 (Red): Centraal ↔ Gein

Coverage: The metro is particularly useful for reaching suburban areas and some southern zones. Trams and buses are more commonly used in the city center.
