What is covered by the Rome Conet Pass
The Rome Conet Pass gives unlimited access to all public transport within the urban area. This includes:
- Metro: lines A, B and C, which connect Termini, the Vatican area, Colosseo, Spagna, and the main residential and tourist districts.
- Buses: the full urban bus network, which covers areas not reached by metro, including Trastevere, Prati and the historic center.
- Trams: tram lines operating across central and semi-central districts.
- Urban trains: local rail lines within the urban fare zone, where applicable.
- Airport shuttle: every pass includes a one-way journey to or from Fiumicino Airport (Leonardo da Vinci). You choose the direction when you use it: outbound or return.
- Bike sharing: an Uber Lime credit is included with every pass.
- Taxi credit: €5 Wetaxi credit included.
Not included: regional trains, the Leonardo Express, and connections to Ciampino Airport unless specified in your package. Always check your booking confirmation for the exact inclusions. Children up to 10 years of age travel free on all Rome public transport when accompanied by a paying adult.
Pass durations available for Rome
Conet Pass for Rome is available in the following durations:
- One-way ticket: valid for 100 minutes from the moment of first validation. Useful for a single journey, but not for multiple trips across a day.
- 1-day pass: valid for 24 hours from first use. If you first use it on Friday at 11:00 am, it expires on Saturday at 11:00 am.
- 2-day pass: valid for 48 hours from first activation. If you activate it Monday at 5:00 pm, it remains valid until Wednesday at 5:00 pm.
- 3-day pass: valid for 72 hours from first activation. If activated Monday at 5:00 pm, it remains valid until Thursday at 5:00 pm.
- 5-day pass: structured as 48 hours plus 72 hours (120 hours total) from first activation. If activated Monday at 5:00 pm, it remains valid until Saturday at 5:00 pm.
- 7-day pass: valid for 7 consecutive calendar days from first activation.
Validity runs continuously, including overnight. There is no cut-off at midnight — the pass stays active for the full counted hours from the moment you first tap in.
When does the validity start and when can I download my ticket?
Validity starts from first use, not from the date of purchase. The pass only begins counting down the moment you first board any valid transport line. However, it is important to enter your correct arrival date at the time of purchase: tickets are available for download from that date onwards. If you enter an incorrect arrival date, you may not be able to download your ticket when you need it.
The travel date does not lock the validity, it determines from which date the ticket becomes downloadable. Enter the date you actually plan to arrive in Rome, and download your ticket from that day.
The airport shuttle: included, open date, one direction
Every Rome Conet Pass includes a one-way journey to or from Fiumicino Airport (Leonardo da Vinci, FCO) via SIT Bus Shuttle. The shuttle ticket is separate from the urban transport pass and operates as an open-date ticket — you can use it on any day, regardless of when your urban pass is active. You decide the direction when you use it: either from the airport into the city on arrival, or from the city to the airport on departure. One ticket, one journey, your choice.
Fiumicino shuttle is operated by SIT Bus Shuttle. Buses depart from Terminal 3 at Rome Fiumicino Airport and arrive at Via Marsala 5 in front of Termini Station. The route stops at Circonvallazione Aurelia (Vatican area) before reaching Termini. First departure from the airport is around 8:30 am; last departure from Termini is around 7:55 pm. Journey time is approximately 45 to 60 minutes depending on traffic.
Ciampino Airport connections are not included as standard, check your booking confirmation to see if your package covers this.
What to do if you have not received your confirmation email
Check your spam or junk folder first. If the email is not there, you can recover your booking at Ticket Recovery using the email address and name provided at purchase. The same tool lets you change your selected travel date or download tickets directly. If you entered an incorrect arrival date at the time of booking, use the recovery tool to update it before your trip.

No. The Leonardo Express is a Trenitalia service and requires a separate ticket. The included airport connection is the SIT Bus Shuttle.
The pass is valid from first use. To download your tickets, make sure you have entered the correct arrival date at the time of purchase, tickets are available for download from that date onwards.
The travel date you entered at booking is indicative and does not affect validity. The pass activates when you first use it, regardless of the date originally selected. Remember however to enter your correct arrival date at purchase, as tickets can only be downloaded from that date onwards.
