For visitors planning to move around the city across one or more days, a Conet Pass removes the need to buy individual tickets and covers every urban line on a single digital pass.

What is covered by the Milan Conet Pass
The Milan Conet Pass gives unlimited access to all urban public transport within the Mi1–Mi3 fare zone. This includes:
- Metro: all five lines (M1 Red, M2 Green, M3 Yellow, M4 Blue, M5 Lilac), covering the city center and key outer districts.
- Trams: the full urban tram network, one of the oldest and most extensive in Italy, covering historic central areas and outer neighborhoods.
- Buses and trolleybuses: all urban bus lines covering areas not served by metro or tram, including night services on key routes after midnight.
- Passante Ferroviario: urban rail stops within the Mi1–Mi3 fare zone.
- Bike sharing: an Uber Lime credit is included with every pass. Open the Uber app, go to Payment Options, choose “Other,” then “Gift Card,” and enter the promo code from your confirmation email.
Not included: extra-urban routes beyond Mi3, Trenitalia and Italo trains, the Malpensa Express, and airport shuttles. The airport shuttle is available as an optional add-on to the pass, see the dedicated section below.
Children aged 14 and under travel free on all Milan urban public transport when accompanied by a paying adult. Note: this applies to urban transport only. For airport shuttles, children aged 2 and under travel free if held on an adult’s lap; from age 3 onwards a separate shuttle ticket must be purchased.
How the fare zones work in Milan
Milan’s public transport network is divided into fare zones. The Conet Pass covers zones Mi1 through Mi3, which include the entire city of Milan and the immediately surrounding municipalities. This zone covers all five metro lines end to end, all tram and bus routes within the city, and the Passante Ferroviario urban stops.
Routes and destinations beyond Mi3 – including some outer suburban areas – require a separate extra-urban ticket. If you are traveling only within Milan itself, the Mi1–Mi3 zone covers everything you need.
One important detail: Linate Airport is connected to the city center directly via metro line M4, and this connection is included within the urban fare zone. Malpensa and Orio al Serio airports are outside the urban zone and require a separate shuttle ticket.
The five metro lines: what each one covers
- M1 Red Line: the main east-west line, connecting the city center to suburban areas. Key stops: Duomo, San Babila, Cairoli (Castello Sforzesco), Cadorna FN, Rho Fieramilano. Operating hours: 5:30 am to 12:30 am (from 6:00 am on Sundays).
- M2 Green Line connects key cultural and residential areas from northeast to south. Key stops: Centrale FS, Porta Garibaldi, Lanza (Brera district), Sant’Agostino and Porta Genova (Navigli), Cadorna FN. Operating hours: 5:30 am to 12:30 am (from 6:00 am on Sundays).
- M3 Yellow Line runs north to south through the city center. Key stops: Centrale FS, Repubblica, Montenapoleone, Duomo, Porta Romana. Operating hours: 5:30 am to 12:30 am (from 6:00 am on Sundays).
- M4 Blue Line: Milan’s newest metro line, connecting Linate Airport directly to the city center and westward to San Cristoforo. Key stops: Linate Airport, San Babila, Santa Sofia (Navigli area). This is the fastest connection between Linate Airport and the city center, fully covered by the Conet Pass.
- M5 Lilac Line connects the northern area to the western area of Milan. Key stops: Isola (Porta Nuova), Monumentale, Portello (CityLife), San Siro. Operating hours: 5:30 am to 12:30 am (from 6:00 am on Sundays).
The most useful metro stations for visitors are Duomo (M1, M3) for the cathedral and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Cairoli (M1) for Castello Sforzesco, Cadorna FN (M1, M2) for the Brera district and the Malpensa Express connection, Conciliazione (M1) for Santa Maria delle Grazie and The Last Supper, Porta Garibaldi (M2, M5) for the Porta Nuova district, and Sant’Agostino and Porta Genova (M2) for the Navigli canal area.
Pass durations available for Milan
Conet Pass for Milan is available in the following options:
- 1-day pass valid for 24 hours from first activation. If activated on Friday at 11:00 am, it expires on Saturday at 11:00 am.
- 2-day pass valid for 48 hours from first activation.
- 3-day pass valid for 3 calendar days from first activation.
- 4-day pass valid for 4 calendar days from first activation.
- 5-day pass valid for 5 consecutive calendar days from first activation.
- 7-day pass valid for 7 consecutive calendar days from first activation.
Validity runs continuously, including overnight. Do not activate the pass in the Wetaxi app until you are ready to travel, as the countdown begins immediately.
How to activate the Milan Conet Pass
The Milan Conet Pass is 100% digital and sent by email after purchase. Activation works through the Wetaxi app. Detailed instructions are included in your confirmation email — follow them carefully.
Important: the pass is valid from first use, but you must enter your correct arrival date at the time of purchase. Tickets can only be downloaded from that date onwards, so make sure the date you enter matches the day you plan to start travelling in Milan.
The airport shuttle: optional add-on, three airports
Unlike Rome and Venice, the airport shuttle is not included by default in the Milan Conet Pass. It is available as an optional add-on when purchasing the pass, covering one-way travel between Milan Central Station and the airport of your choice.
- Malpensa Airport (MXP) operated by AirPullman SpA (Malpensa Shuttle). Departure from Terminal 1 at Arrivals Exit 4, or from outside Terminal 2. City stop: Milan Central Station (Piazza Luigi di Savoia). Schedule: daily from approximately 5:00 am to 12:30 am, departures every 30 minutes. Journey time: approximately 50 minutes.
- Orio al Serio Airport, Bergamo (BGY) operated by Flibco.com. Departure from the Arrivals area at the airport. City stop: Milan Central Station. Schedule: daily from 4:00 am to 11:30 pm, departures every 20 to 30 minutes. Journey time: approximately 50 minutes.
- Linate Airport (LIN) operated by AirPullman SpA (Linate Shuttle). Departure from just outside the Arrivals area. City stop: Milan Central Station. Direct service with no intermediate stops. Schedule: daily from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm, departures every 30 minutes. Journey time: approximately 25 minutes. Note: Linate Airport is also directly connected to the city center by metro line M4, which is included in the standard urban pass.
All shuttle tickets are open-date and can be used on any day, independent of your urban pass validity. You choose the direction when you use it: airport to city, or city to airport.
What to do if you have not received your confirmation email
Check your spam or junk folder first. If the email is not there, recover your booking at Ticket Recovery using the email address and name provided at purchase. The same tool lets you change your selected travel date or download tickets directly.

No. The Malpensa Express is a Trenord service and requires a separate ticket. The included airport connection for Malpensa is the Malpensa Shuttle, available as an optional add-on.
Yes. The shuttle ticket is open-date and independent of your urban pass validity.
The Duomo ticket included in combo packages provides access to the cathedral terraces only. For the interior, museum collection or other areas, the full Duomo Combo ticket is required. Duomo tickets are valid only on the specific date printed on the ticket.
