Passes with hourly validity
Most Conet Pass packages are measured in continuous hours: 24, 48, 72 hours or longer durations. The countdown runs without interruption from the moment of activation and does not pause overnight or reset at midnight.
A 24-hour pass activated at 10:00 PM covers the rest of that evening and the entire following day until 10:00 PM. A 48-hour pass activated at 3:00 PM on Friday expires at 3:00 PM on Sunday. The hours run sequentially, regardless of how many journeys you make.

Passes with calendar-day validity
Some packages are measured in calendar days rather than continuous hours. A calendar day runs strictly from 12:00 AM (midnight) to 11:59 PM. Unlike hourly passes, a 1-day calendar pass does not give you 24 hours of travel from the moment you first use it — it covers the calendar day on which you first validate, up to midnight of that same day.
Calendar-day passes are flexible at purchase: there are no fixed dates selected at checkout. The pass activates on whichever day you choose to make your first validation. If you have a 1-day calendar pass and validate it on a Tuesday at 4:00 PM, it expires at 11:59 PM that same Tuesday night.
When you access your tickets via email, a notice indicates whether your pass uses a calendar-day format. If no such notice is present, the pass uses continuous hours.
When exactly does the countdown start?
Within hourly passes, there is one further distinction depending on your city and package.
Activation at first use
For most Conet Pass destinations, the countdown starts the moment you first scan your QR code at a transit gate or onboard reader. Until that first validation, your pass remains inactive — you can keep it in your email without any validity being consumed. This is the most common model.
Activation at download through a provider’s app
In some cities, your confirmation email will instruct you to download a specific provider’s mobile app and import your voucher code to retrieve the digital tickets. In this case, the countdown starts the moment you complete that download or activation inside the app, not at your first journey.
If your pass uses a provider’s app, do not import the voucher code days before your trip. Wait until the morning of your first travel day to download and activate the tickets. Doing it too early will consume validity before you travel.
Your confirmation email specifies which activation method applies to your pass. If no specific instructions about a provider’s app are present, your pass activates at first use.
Dates selected at checkout
During purchase on the official website, you are asked to select travel dates. For both hourly and calendar-day passes, these dates are indicative only. They help with order processing but do not lock the pass to those specific dates. If your travel plans change after purchase, the pass remains fully valid and inactive in your email until you choose to use it.
What happens when the pass expires
Once your pass reaches the end of its validity window, it deactivates automatically and cannot be used for new journeys. You will need a standard local ticket for any travel after that point.
If your pass expires while you are already on board a vehicle, you are not required to exit immediately. The pass covers the journey in progress at the moment of expiry. Any transfer or new journey started after that point requires a separate fare.
