Activating your Conet Pass does not require any separate registration step on a Conet Pass app. Your pass is purchased exclusively on the official website and delivered solely via email as a digital voucher or QR code. Depending on your destination, it becomes active upon its first validation, when you download and activate it through a specific provider’s app, or on the first calendar day you choose to start using it.
The three activation and usage models
Conet Pass operates on three distinct activation models depending on the city and the specific pass you have purchased. It is essential to know which model applies before you begin your journey.
Model 1 — Valid from first use (continuous hourly format)
Your pass remains completely inactive until you first board a covered transport vehicle or scan your ticket at a transit gate. The validity period (24, 48, or 72 hours) begins counting down from that exact first validation, running continuously without pausing overnight. This is the most common model across Conet Pass cities: it allows you to keep your pass ready and activate it precisely when your trip starts.
Model 2 — Valid from provider app activation
In some cities, the confirmation email will instruct you to download a specific provider’s mobile app. Follow the instructions received from Conet Pass to retrieve your digital tickets. In this case, your validity period begins running the moment you complete the download or activation process inside the provider’s app.
Model 3 — Calendar-day passes (flexible dates)
Some packages operate on a calendar-day basis rather than continuous hours. Unlike hourly passes, these do not expire exactly 24 or 48 hours after validation, and they do not have pre-selected fixed dates attached at purchase. The pass is completely flexible: the clock starts on whichever calendar day you choose to first use it. A calendar day runs strictly from 12:00 AM (midnight) to 11:59 PM. For example, if you have a 1-day calendar pass and validate it for the first time on a Tuesday at 4:00 PM, the pass will expire at 11:59 PM that same Tuesday night.
How to tell which model applies: a notice is displayed when you access your tickets via email. If no specific reference to “provider app activation” or “calendar-day format” is present, the pass defaults to “valid from first use”. When in doubt, wait until the morning of your first travel day before activating or downloading.
Before you travel: what to prepare
1. Purchase only via the official website
Conet Pass can only be purchased through the official website. Make sure you have completed your transaction there to receive a valid booking reference and your digital tickets by email.
2. Check your email
Conet Pass does not use its own native app for ticket delivery. Your tickets or voucher codes are sent exclusively to the email address provided at checkout. Before leaving for your trip, locate the confirmation email and read the access instructions for your specific pass carefully, as requirements vary by city and pass type.
Model 1 and Model 3 passes: open the download link in your confirmation email and follow the instructions provided for your pass. Always refer to those instructions to understand how to access your ticket and whether a data connection may be required.
Model 2 passes: follow the instructions to download the specific provider’s app.
Your confirmation email always includes a free Ubigi e-SIM with 500 MB of preloaded data, valid in all Conet Pass cities. We recommend activating it on Ubigi’s website before you travel so you have a connection available upon arrival, regardless of the access method your pass requires.
3. Verify city-specific requirements
While the pass is delivered by email, some local networks require you to manage it via a specific provider’s app. Your confirmation email contains the precise instructions for your city. Read them before departure.
4. Check what your pass covers
Coverage varies by city and by the specific package you purchased. Not all Conet Pass city packages include the airport shuttle. Always verify the coverage details in your confirmation email before boarding any vehicle, especially if your first journey is the connection from the airport.
How to activate your Conet Pass: step by step
Step 1 — Open your confirmation email
Locate the email from Conet Pass. It contains your voucher code, download links, and the activation instructions specific to your city.
Step 2 — Access your ticket following the instructions for your pass
“Valid from first use” passes: open the ticket link before travel and follow the instructions provided. The confirmation email for your pass indicates the correct way to access and display your ticket. We recommend doing this in advance and ensuring you have a reliable data connection available when you need to validate.
“Valid from provider app” passes: wait until the morning of your first travel day before importing the voucher code and downloading the tickets inside the designated provider’s app.
Calendar-day passes: These passes feature flexible dates. Follow the access instructions in your confirmation email, but do not make your first validation until the morning of the day you wish to use as your first active calendar day.
Step 3 — Board and validate
Board your first covered vehicle: metro, bus, tram or airport shuttle if included in your package.
- Metro: Scan your QR code at the turnstile or gate before accessing the platform.
- Bus and tram: Present the QR code to the onboard scanner or to the driver on boarding.
- Airport shuttle: If included in your package, validate in the same way as a bus.
For Model 1, this first validation starts your continuous hourly countdown. For Model 3, it locks in your first flexible calendar day, which will run until midnight.
Step 4 — Use your pass for all subsequent journeys
For the remainder of your validity period, board any covered vehicle and validate your pass each time. You do not need to re-download or re-activate anything. Your pass remains valid until the duration expires.
Validity: when your pass expires
Your Conet Pass expires at the end of its validity period, calculated based on your pass type.
A 24-hour pass activated at 9:00 AM expires at 9:00 AM the following day.
A 48-hour pass activated at 3:00 PM on day one expires at 3:00 PM two days later.
A calendar-day pass features flexible dates but expires strictly at 11:59 PM (midnight) on its final active day, regardless of what time you first scanned it on that day.
Hourly passes run continuously, including overnight. Calendar passes expire strictly at midnight of the used dates. Plan your travel around these specific rules, particularly if you have an early-morning departure.
Common activation mistakes to avoid
Activating a provider’s app pass too early: If your pass activates upon importing or downloading tickets inside a specific provider’s app, doing this days before your trip will cause your validity period to run out before you arrive. Always follow your email instructions carefully.
Assuming calendar-day passes last for a full 24 hours: Calendar-day passes do not have fixed dates at purchase, but once you use them, they expire at midnight. If you validate a 1-day calendar pass for the first time at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, that pass expires at 11:59 PM on Tuesday night. It does not last until Wednesday evening.
Accessing your ticket without reading the instructions first: How you access and display your ticket depends on your specific pass and city. Before travelling, read the instructions in your confirmation email carefully. In some cases, an active internet connection may be required at the point of validation. To avoid any connectivity issues, we recommend activating the free Ubigi e-SIM included in your confirmation email before departure.
Trying to share one pass between two travellers: A Conet Pass is personal and non-transferable. Each traveller must have their own pass. Using the same QR code to validate two separate entries constitutes fare evasion on all networks.

What happens if my pass expires during a journey?
If your pass reaches its expiry time or midnight deadline while you are mid-journey, you are not required to exit the vehicle immediately. The pass covers the journey you are on at the point of expiry. You will need a separate ticket for any subsequent journeys.
What if I activate my pass at the wrong time by mistake?
