What is covered by the Barcelona Conet Pass
The Barcelona Conet Pass gives unlimited access to the entire Zone 1 integrated public transport network, operated through the Hola Barcelona travel card. This includes:
- Metro, eight lines (L1 to L5, L9N, L9S, L10, L11) operated by TMB, covering the city center and all major tourist and residential districts. Lines L9N and L9S connect both airport terminals directly to the metro network.
- Buses, the full TMB urban bus network, including day routes, night buses (Nitbus) and the airport bus connections within Zone 1.
- Trams, six Tram lines serving the western districts (T1, T2, T3) and the eastern seafront (T4, T5, T6). Trams connect key neighborhoods including Diagonal, Glòries and the Forum area.
- FGC urban railway, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya urban lines within Zone 1, connecting Plaça de Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia with Sarrià, Tibidabo and Terrassa direction.
Rodalies de Catalunya — Renfe suburban trains within Zone 1, connecting central stations (Barcelona Sants, Passeig de Gràcia, Clot) with the outer metropolitan area. - Montjuïc funicular, the funicular connecting Paral·lel metro station to Montjuïc hill, from where you can access the castle, the Olympic Ring, the MNAC and the Fundació Joan Miró. How Zone 1 works
The Barcelona public transport network is divided into fare zones, numbered 1 to 6 from the city center outward. The Conet Pass covers Zone 1, which includes the entire city of Barcelona, both airport terminals via the L9 metro, and all the transport modes listed above.
Zone 1 covers virtually every destination a tourist would visit in the city: the Gothic Quarter, Eixample, Gràcia, Barceloneta, Montjuïc, Sagrada Família, Camp Nou, Park Güell, Poblenou and the Forum area. For day trips to Sitges, Montserrat or other destinations outside the city, a separate ticket is required.
The metro: eight lines, key stops for visitors
- L1 (Red) runs east to west through the city center. Key stops: Plaça de Catalunya, Universitat, Hospital de Bellvitge. One of the busiest lines for daily commuters and visitors alike.
- L2 (Purple) connects Sant Antoni with Badalona Pompeu Fabra. Key stops: Passeig de Gràcia, Sagrada Família, La Pau. The most direct metro connection to the Sagrada Família.
- L3 (Green) runs from Trinitat Nova in the north to Zona Universitària in the south, passing through the heart of the city. Key stops: Plaça de Catalunya, Liceu (Gothic Quarter), Barceloneta, Drassanes (Barceloneta waterfront), Paral·lel (Montjuïc funicular), Diagonal.
- L4 (Yellow) runs from Trinitat Nova to La Pau via the seafront area. Key stops: Jaume I (Gothic Quarter, Cathedral), Barceloneta, Ciutadella/Vila Olímpica, Poblenou.
- L5 (Blue) runs from Cornellà to Vall d’Hebron. Key stops: Sagrada Família, Verdaguer, Diagonal, Collblanc and Badal (Camp Nou).
- L9N and L9S (Orange), the airport line. L9S connects Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of El Prat Airport northward to Zona Universitària, where you can transfer to L3. L9N covers the northern branch of the same line. This is the included airport connection — see the dedicated section below.
How to reach the main tourist attractions by metro
- Sagrada Família: Line L2 (Purple) or L5 (Blue), stop Sagrada Família.
- Park Güell: Line L3 (Green) to Vallcarca or Lesseps, then walk uphill or take the park shuttle bus.
- Camp Nou: Line L5 (Blue) to Collblanc or Badal.
- Gothic Quarter and Cathedral: Line L4 (Yellow) to Jaume I, or L3 (Green) to Liceu.
- Barceloneta beach: Line L4 (Yellow) to Barceloneta.
- Montjuïc: Line L3 (Green) or L2 (Purple) to Paral·lel, then the Montjuïc funicular (included in the pass).
- Picasso Museum: Line L4 (Yellow) to Jaume I.

The airport connection: metro included, Aerobús optional
El Prat Airport (BCN) has two terminals. Both are connected to the metro network via lines L9N and L9S, and both are included in the standard Conet Pass.
Terminal 1 served by L9S, stop Aeroport T1.
Terminal 2 served by L9S, stop Aeroport T2.
From Terminal 2, you can also take the free shuttle bus to Terminal 1, which is useful if your departure gate is in T1.
From the airport, the most practical connection to the city center is via L9S to Zona Universitària, then transfer to L3 (Green) northward toward Plaça de Catalunya or Diagonal. Journey time from the airport to Plaça de Catalunya is approximately 35 to 40 minutes with the transfer.
The Aerobús (airport shuttle bus) is not included in the standard pass. It is available as an optional combo add-on for visitors who prefer a direct, no-transfer connection between the airport and Plaça de Catalunya. Journey time on the Aerobús is approximately 35 minutes.
Pass durations available for Barcelona
All Barcelona Conet Pass options are structured as calendar days, not hours. The pass covers the full calendar day on which it is activated and on each subsequent day.
- 2-day pass: valid for 2 consecutive calendar days from first activation.
- 3-day pass: valid for 3 consecutive calendar days from first activation.
- 5-day pass: valid for 5 consecutive calendar days from first activation.
- 7-day pass: valid for 7 consecutive calendar days from first activation.
The pass is valid from first use, but you must enter your correct arrival date at the time of purchase. Tickets can only be downloaded from that date onwards. Make sure the date you enter matches the day you plan to start travelling in Barcelona.
Choosing the right pass duration
If you are spending 2 full days in Barcelona — one day for the Eixample and Sagrada Família area, one day for the Gothic Quarter, Barceloneta and Montjuïc — the 2-day pass covers every journey including the airport metro connection in both directions.
For 3 or 5 days, the pass covers all urban travel plus the airport, making it a straightforward choice for visitors who want to move around freely without thinking about individual fares.
The 7-day pass suits visitors staying for a full week or combining Barcelona with nearby day trips within Zone 1.
